February is Children’s Dental Health Month

Start good dental health habits early in infancy by daily wiping your child’s gums with a moist cloth. Begin brushing your child’s teeth with a soft brush as soon as the teeth erupt.  Teach your child proper brushing around the age of two but continue brushing and flossing the teeth until your child has the dexterity to complete the task alone. Set a good example for your child by practicing a daily routine of brushing, flossing and rinsing yourself.

For a pleasant dental visit experience, schedule the appointment at a time when your child is well rested and cooperative. Talk positively about the visit with your child.
